UMHB BAND FESTIVAL
- May 10 & 11, 2012
The UMHB Conservatory of Music and Music Department will host the annual UMHB BAND FESTIVAL on Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, 2012. This festival will take place on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus in the Walton Chapel.
This band festival is open to bands of all ages and ability levels.
Each band will receive:
- comments from the panel of four adjudicators
(no rating unless requested),
- a recording, and
- will be awarded a participation trophy.
The judging panel will consist of music educators that have taught on all levels. Their only goal is to aid you in getting feedback to improve your band.
After your band performs, one of the four judges will clinic the band while they remain on stage. This judge will not have been writing comments, only listening and making notes to use in speaking to your ensemble so he can be focused on helping your band.
Each band will warm-up, perform, and receive their clinic all in one location (on stage at Walton Chapel).
All performances will be open to the general public.
